OUR

SUSTAINABILITY

PROMISE

Company Vision + Mission

Here at Xcel Bespoke, we live and breathe our Sustainability principles, which is why we proactively measure, reduce and, wherever possible, offset the environmental impact of the items we design, develop and deliver at each step of the process.

The choices we make regarding raw materials can have far-reaching effects on climate change and the reduction of natural resources.

We can and do mitigate these negative impacts and foster a more sustainable future by opting for sustainable raw materials.

Responsible sourcing and supplier assessment are essential components of our Supply Chain Management Strategy.

Procuring goods and services in a manner that supports social, environmental, and ethical objectives is imperative to us.

Modular
Design

We conduct a comprehensive LCA to evaluate the product’s environmental impact throughout its entire lifecycle. This helps identify hotspots for improvement

We create products that are easy to disassemble and recycle at the end of their life. This includes using standardised connectors and labelling materials for recycling.

We recommend eco-friendly, sustainable, recycled or biodegradable materials to our clients. At the same time, we also consider the source, availability and recyclability of materials.

Whilst designing the product, our Design Team considers factors such as energy efficiency during manufacturing use and disposal phases. We also aim to reduce energy consumption where possible.

We design products with modular components that can be easily upgraded or replaced, extending the product's lifespan and reducing waste.

MEASURE

Every step of a shipment that is managed on behalf of our clients is calculated to produce the total TCO2e per shipment.

This can be viewed in quotes, shipments, analytics and reporting.

REDUCE

We help achieve emission reduction with our tools and partners by:

  • Modality switches and/or prioritisation

  • Potential emissions included as a decision-making factor or in KPIs

  • Focus on consolidation, maximising every move

  • Gaining visibility when quoting

  • Helping clients set and meet meaningful targets

  • Clients can regularly review the progress made

  • A biofuel switch for ocean and air

NEUTRALISE

Our Carbon Offset Programs allow us to:

  • Calculate “carbon credits” per each shipment

  • The funds put towards Carbon Credits are used to offset the CO2 emissions by participation in a forest conservation project, reforestation or improved forest management programs while also creating biodiversity and community benefits.

Sustainability efforts applied on behalf of our clients are measured and reported via our Sustainability Indicator Tool,

which takes into consideration all Life Cycle Assessment principles.

Sustainability & Recycling

Xcel Bespoke Ltd is proud to be ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited and works very hard to ensure our carbon footprint is kept as low as possible.

Due to the environmental controls that have been put in place in both China and Bangladesh, we work with our factories to ensure that all effluent waste created in the manufacturing process of our garments is disposed of/recycled correctly.

Not only that, but all of the dye houses we use, clean and filter all dirty water so that it can be recycled back into the water system or re-used at a later date.

We also try to ensure that our carbon footprint is kept to a minimum by working with our shipping departments/agents to consolidate each container we dispatch, saving on space.

Also wherever possible, we ship containers directly to the markets i.e. Canada, Australia and Europe, in order to reduce our carbon footprint as well as to reduce delivery timings.

We believe that acting responsibly toward sustainability and recycling is so important, and we work closely with our clients to ensure sea vs air freight wherever possible.
